Art Bikes Street Talk: JWJPark
Ron Rothberg, Owner of Art Bikes Jax visited the Park last week to chat with Liz McCoy, our Executive Director, about all things JWJPark – past, present, and future – on his podcast. The episode drops today and you can hear it here first or check it out any and everywhere you listen to your favorite podcasts!
Street Talk wanders into the center of the city and Jacksonville’s oldest park, James Weldon Johnson Park to talk to Executive Director Liz McCoy.
JWJ Park is a gem, filled with art, flowers, events, and activations. We talk about the namesake of the park; James Weldon Johnson, we gaze upon the St James building, now Jacksonville’s city hall (and according to Dr. Wayne Wood, the most beautiful city hall in America).
We also talk about future plans for the park which is getting ready for a facelift.
James Weldon Johnson Park is always a highlight on our Art Bikes tours, so spend a few minutes and get an inside look at the stories this treasured space holds.
