Hosted by the @epbjax and @newsfromjea, with support from the @cityofjax and the @keepjaxbeautiful Commission. Join us to learn about protecting the environment, conservation, reducing energy and water use, and preventing pollution. The park will also have food trucks and vendors to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there! 🌎

The Lounge at JWJ Park returns on Wednesday, May 1st with the 🌺Luau Lounge🌺 from 5pm to 9pm featuring vibes from @KalaniRoseMusic + Friends!

This Hawaiian-themed Lounge‘s on-stage VIP area will be reserved for a private event, however, the festivities can be enjoyed by all! Kalani Rose + Friends will feature cool tunes, hula dancers, fire dancers, and more!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Today is the Earth Day Clean-Up from 10am-12pm. There will be three locations to join in and volunteer: Klutho Park, 515 W. 6th Street, and N. Davis & W. 13th Street. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Hope to see you there!

This event is again hosted by the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board and JEA, with support from the @CityofJax and the @KeepJaxBeautiful Commission. We all hope that you will join us to learn about protecting the environment, conservation, reducing energy and water use and preventing pollution. Along with the organizations, James Weldon Johnson Park offers local entertainment and several food trucks for lunch options. We look forward to seeing you there!

Also - save the date! Monday, April 22nd is the 54th anniversary of Earth Day and you are invited to join Mayor Deegan in an Earth Day Clean-up along Hogans Creek from 10 am to 12 noon. There will be three locations to join in and volunteer.

Councilwoman @JucobyPittman, @RitzJax, and the @CityofJax are excited to announce the fourth annual Jacksonville Emancipation Celebration taking place in @JamesWeldonJohnsonPark. The festival will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024, to educate the community about the historical significance of Florida’s observed Emancipation Day. Cities like Jacksonville in the State of Florida are acknowledging this special day of freedom.

Headlining this year’s festival will be @TheKatzDownstairz, a Soul & R&B Vibe from Jacksonville. Councilman Rahman Johnson (@RahmanJ) will host the event. Other great local performers include @MrAlPete, Taryn “@iamLoveReigns” Warwood, and Mal Jones (@MalsMind). In addition, Jacksonville’s Emancipation Celebration will feature local African American food trucks and vendors and fun activities for the kids. The festival will begin at 4 p.m. and close out at 8 p.m. at @JamesWeldonJohnsonPark.
