Bluegrass, Beer, and Barbecue is now Brew & BBQ at James Weldon Johnson Park

JACKSONVILLE, FL – June 14, 2023 — Your favorite James Weldon Johnson Park festival is back and rebranded! Bluegrass, Beer, and Barbecue is now Brew & BBQ and coming back to James Weldon Johnson Park on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 4 pm to 10 pm.

You can once again expect plenty of barbecue-themed food trucks, a wide range of beers to choose from, a plethora of vendors, and great music. This year’s lineup includes experimental funk soloist, Soliloquy; local jam-fusion luminaries, the Parker Urban Band; and Jacksonville’s own psychedelic bluegrass festival favorites, The Firewater Tent Revival!

The concert is presented by Friends of James Weldon Johnson Park, is family-friendly, and is free to attend. Limited seating will be available at this event; however, you are welcome to bring your own chair. Dogs are welcome too!

Friends of James Weldon Johnson Park is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 and contracted with the City of Jacksonville to revitalize the city’s first and most historic public park. James Weldon Johnson Park is located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, adjacent to City Hall, the main branch of the Jacksonville Public Library, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Our mission is to transform James Weldon Johnson Park into a modern, urban space that engages diverse communities and restores vitality to our city’s public square.
