Musician and Co-Founder of Nuera Marketing produced a David Bowie Festival to honor his brilliance 10 years ago on February 16th, 2016.

“The event was called ‘Let’s Dance: A Tribute to the Man Who Changed the World’. We had about 20 bands involved. We set up two stages in the Park, one right here under the Skyway Station, and the other on the east end of the Park, right in front of the library. The Park staff were great. They helped us with production, getting the posters printed, and all of the media.

Each band would play three songs on one stage. Then they would stop and the entire crowd, there was about 5,000 people, would just turn around to the other stage. While they were on, we would do the changeover on the first stage, and we just switched back and forth all day long. Three songs, three songs, all David Bowie material. It was magical.

By the end of the day, we raised about $5,000.00 which we gave to the American Cancer Society because he died of cancer.

It was one of the best days of my whole life.

I actually retired from entertainment for a few years because I just looked around, and I was like, it’s never gonna get better than this.”
