The park is located at 135 W Monroe St, Jacksonville, FL 32202, in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.

The park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The park honors James Weldon Johnson, a Jacksonville native, civil rights leader, educator, and co-author of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” often called the Black National Anthem.

Yes, the park is fully ADA-compliant with accessible pathways and seating.

There are no public restrooms within the Park. The closest public restroom is inside the Main Library.

Yes, there are tables during operating hours and shaded areas throughout the park.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet.

Smoking is prohibited within the park.

Yes, personal photography is allowed. For commercial shoots, please contact us for a permit.

Yes, the park is near several JTA bus stops and the Skyway James Weldon Johnson Park Station. To plan your trip to JWJ Park using Public Transportation, visit JTA.

Food Trucks & Vending in the Park

Generators are discouraged within the park and should be used as a last resort on a case-by-case basis. Food vendors should always plan to bring extension cords for electric hookup.

There are standard 110V/20 AMP electrical outlets throughout the park, as well as three 30 AMP and three 50 AMP outlets.

There are between two and four food/drink trucks scheduled for lunch in JWJ Park Monday through Friday.

The fee for daily lunch is $35.00/day. The fee for events varies based on the anticipated foot traffic of the event.

Art Walk Wednesday is an event that is programmed by a Downtown Vision Inc.
